Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have a potential gem in Jordan Rossiter but he needs a loan when he gets back to full fitness.

Rangers have quite a few first-team stars, and god knows quite a bit of deadwood to get rid of this summer.
But they also have players in between both brackets, players who could be brilliant at some point in the future, but haven’t had the chance to impress in the first team – and Jordan Rossiter is certainly one of those men.
As good as the former Liverpool midfielder is, he is costing the club a lot of money but injury has prevented him from repaying what is quite a sizeable investment on the pitch. The 20-year-old is, according to The Daily Mail, earning £10,000 per week with Rangers and has done since joining the club in May 2016, but fast forward nearly two years and Rossiter has only made five Premiership appearances.
Nobody doubts his talent, but his fitness is a massive concern and you wonder whether he would get into Rangers’ best XI even if he was fit.

Graeme Murty has a lot of very decent midfield options at his disposal, and another one very soon when Graham Dorrans returns from injury, but a short-term loan deal away from Ibrox next season, preferably to a Premiership club, is ideal for all involved.
Regardless of what Joey Barton says, top-flight Scottish football isn’t a stroll in the park and it’s worth pointing out that Rossiter is unproven at this level. Brendan Rodgers and Mark Warburton both rate him very highly and although those two have been spot-on with some signings, other recruits have struggled.
But if he’s fit this summer – and it’s increasingly looking like a big ‘if’ – then going on loan until, say, January might give him the chance to play regularly and therefore tell the Rangers boss, whoever that might be, whether he’s ready to come back and finally begin his career in Glasgow and, really, in football.
