Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers should challenge Celtic for David Turnbull after his Parkhead switch hit a snag.

David Turnbull’s move to Celtic has seemingly hit the skids – and Rangers should take advantage by trying to hijack the move.
The Hoops looked set to sign the Motherwell attacker, before releasing a statement on their Twitter page indicating that the 19-year-old wasn’t happy with the personal terms on offer.
According to The Express, Turnbull is also concerned that he might not be a first-team player at Celtic, but he may be at Rangers and Steven Gerrard should seriously consider throwing his hat into the ring.
If true, it’s a valid complaint by Turnbull. After all, he’d be competing with Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor at Parkhead, which would put a lot of attacking midfielders off a potential move to Glasgow.
It’s different with the Gers though. There, he would only be competing with Scott Arfield really and, having scored 15 Premiership goals last term, could push the 30-year-old midfielder close.
Arfield had an excellent first season at Ibrox, but Turnbull is the more dynamic, younger player and under Gerrard’s tutelage, there’s no telling how much he could progress in a short period of time.
Celtic might wind up getting him regardless, but while there’s uncertainty in the air, the light Blues should strike while the iron is hot.
