Rangers were determined to sign Glen Kamara early.

For Rangers, signing Glen Kamara on a pre-contract deal was not enough. The Gers pursued the midfielder throughout January, landing him early on a permanent transfer.
The Ibrox side already had numerous midfield options, so it was unclear whether they were right to rush through a move.
Last night the Rangers midfielder vindicated their decision.
Kamara played a key role in winning Rangers one of their biggest games of the season against Kilmarnock.
The former Dundee midfielder played Daniel Candeias through with an excellent pass, for the winger to cross for Alfredo Morelos to open the scoring.

Kamara was later involved in an incident with Killie goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann, who was sent off. Kamara’s drive to get forward allowed this to happen.
Even in the second half, Kamara kept probing, trying to set Morelos free to score a third.
The former Arsenal youngster’s contribution was an indication of why Steven Gerrard felt it was essential for Rangers to get a deal done early.
It was a big call for Rangers to start Kamara, and he will likely have a big role in the next round of the Scottish Cup away to Aberdeen.
