Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is loved by the Bears at Ibrox and is essential for Steven Gerrard’s side – but reportedly has numerous suitors.

One of the teams reported to be interested in Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has confirmed the signing of another forward, suggesting that the Ibrox club now has one less suitor for the Colombia international.

English Premier League side Crystal Palace, who according to the Daily Record had the Rangers hitman in their sights, have signed Jordan Ayew from Championship outfit Swansea City on a three-year contract (official Palace website).

The 27-year-old Ghana international has made a return to Selhurst Park after featuring 25 times on loan for Roy Hodgson’s Eagles last season, joining for a fee reported by BBC Sport as £2.5million plus add-ons.

With Palace having now brought in a forward, one would think their search for a striker is over, therefore one less thing for Rangers to worry about – although West Ham are also believed to be interested in Morelos, as are German side Eintracht Frankfurt, according once again to the Daily Record.

The Colombian has made 93 Gers appearances since his 2017 switch from HJK, scoring an impressive 52 goals and registering 19 assists; 18 and 8 in his first Gers season, and 30 and 11 in his second, according to Transfermarkt.
