Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is certain Ibrox goal-machine Alfredo Morelos will “have the bit between his teeth” in tomorrow’s Old Firm derby at Ibrox as the Gers and Celtic go head-to-head in the Scottish Cup.

The Colombian grabbed his long-awaited first goal against the Hoops when the sides clashed at Celtic Park last month, drawing 1-1 in the first league game following Rangers being crowned champions.

With the Light Blues aiming to take a big step towards securing the club’s first domestic double since 2009, Gerrard has backed Morelos to shine tomorrow, insisting he knows exactly what the Colombian international is capable of.

“He’ll definitely have the bit between his teeth. That goes without saying,” Gerrard told Rangers TV.

“Anyone know knows Alfredo and having working with him close, that’s one thing you can never judge him on. When he puts a kit on and crosses the white line he’s always game. He’s always up for it.

“He always gives it his best. It was big for him from a personal point of view to get that goal because a lot of people were speaking about that.

“He’s got the belief and confidence from myself, the players, and the staff. We know what he can do.”

Morelos will likely start alongside Kemar Roofe against John Kennedy’s side tomorrow and the Rangers strike duo will hope they can add to their growing partnership with impressive performances.

As the Light Blues look to end the season undefeated in the league and with a Scottish Cup to add to their collection, Sunday’s game is absolutely massive for Rangers.
