Rangers winger Eros Grezda looks set to suffer another blow.

Eros Grezda of Rangers looks on during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premier League between Celtic and at Ibrox Stadium on December 29, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

It’s fair to say that Eros Grezda has endured a miserable year.

The winger had shown promise in Croatia with Osijek, and Rangers pounced to sign him after Jamie Murphy was ruled out for the whole of last season.

It’s almost a year to the day since Grezda completed his £2million move to Ibrox (Daily Record), and fans were excited given that Grezda had been billed as a fast, tricky and dangerous winger.

However, he has failed to impress at Ibrox. Grezda has made just three first-team appearances for Rangers in 2019, seemingly losing Steven Gerrard’s trust.

Grezda is now with Rangers’ Under-20 side as he just keeps fit, and having been made available for transfer, time is running out for him to leave the club before the European transfer deadline.

The 24-year-old’s situation is becoming desperate, with Rangers no doubt hoping to sell up quickly and Grezda himself needing to move on – especially with news breaking about his role with Albania.

Shqiperia in Albania report that Grezda will now be left out of Albania’s squad for their upcoming international games with France and Iceland, mostly due to his lack of playing time with Rangers.

Grezda did though pull out of the Albania squad back in June, with Albania citing personal issues and Grezda himself suggesting he was injured.

That confusion surely doesn’t help his situation, but with his place with Albania now slipping away from him, Grezda’s situation really is becoming more and more desperate – and he needs to leave Rangers in the coming days to try and get his career back on track.
