Glasgow Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack missed a large chunk of last season.

During the match between Rangers and Motherwell at Ibrox in December, Kipre made a challenge on Jack that saw the Ibrox defensive midfielder spent the next seven months on the sidelines with a knee injury.

The 26-year-old Scotland international defensive midfielder had to undergo surgery in the USA, according to The Scottish Sun, and the former Aberdeen star has now criticised the 21-year-old ex-Leicester City prospect.

Jack told The Scottish Sun: “It was a shocking tackle. Kipre waited until I got the ball and then he knew he had a chance to hurt me and he did. I’ve watched it back and it is not nice.”

Looking ahead
Jack has recovered from the injury, and the Rangers defensive midfielder will hope to play an important role for the Gers under new manager Steven Gerrard next season.
The Scotland international – who provided two assists in 17 Scottish Premiership appearances for Rangers last season, according to Transfermarkt.com – is a very experienced footballer who will be aiming to impress new manager Gerrard.
Rangers have finished third in the Scottish Premiership for the past two seasons, but under Liverpool legend Gerrard, the Ibrox club will be aiming to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the league title during the 2018-19 campaign.
