Glasgow Rangers midfielder Josh Windass’s performance in the Old Firm derby impressed Chris Sutton.

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has stated on social networking site Twitter that he was impressed with Rangers midfielder Josh Windass’s performance in the Old Firm derby at the weekend.
Rangers suffered an embarrassing 5-1 defeat to Old Firm rivals Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
The star of the show in Glasgow on Saturday was Celtic forward Moussa Dembele, who scored a stunning hat-trick.
Rangers as a team were hugely disappointing, but former Celtic striker Sutton was impressed with midfielder Windass.
The 22-year-old former Accrington Stanley midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes.
Sutton has included Windass in his Scottish Premiership Team of the Week along with a bunch of Celtic players.

Rangers’ performance against Celtic was poor and raised doubts over their ability to compete with the Bhoys for the Scottish Premiership title this season.
However, Barry Ferguson believes that Mark Warburton’s side can challenge for the league title during the 2016-17 campaign.
The former Rangers midfielder has also backed Joey Barton to bounce back. The former Newcastle United midfielder did not have a good game for the Gers on Saturday afternoon.

“Celtic absolutely deserved their win and had more pace about them but in terms of quality I truly believe Rangers have players who can make a difference,” Ferguson wrote in The Daily Record.
“I tipped Celtic to win the title at the start of the season but Warburton’s squad have it within them to sustain a challenge all the way through to March or April, as Aberdeen have done in recent years.”
“I’ve always liked him and not just because we got to know each other as we studied for our coaching badges in Ireland together,” added Ferguson about Barton.
“He has brought a lot to Scottish football and still has a lot to bring to Rangers. Warburton hasn’t found the right balance in his midfield yet – but Joey will be at the heart of it.
“Even for all his experience, he would still have been taken aback by the Old Firm atmosphere. He’ll be determined to savour it next time around at Ibrox – as a winner.”
Rangers will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Ross County at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
