Rangers midfielder Josh Windass has criticised Arsenal regarding the situation of Manchester City target Alexis Sanchez on transfer deadline day.

Rangers midfielder Josh Windass has criticised Arsenal on social networking site Twitter.

Windass was not impressed with the situation regarding Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez on transfer deadline day.

According to well-known Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague, the Gunners had agreed a fee with Premier League rivals Manchester City but were refusing to sell the Chile international forward.

Goal.com reported that although the two clubs had reached a verbal agreement over a £60 million transfer, Arsenal did not want to sell the former Barcelona star before signing a replacement.

Rangers midfielder Windass has criticised Arsenal on Twitter. Interestingly, the 23-year-old Ibrox midfielder himself was linked with a move to the Gunners not so long ago.

According to a report in The Mirror in November 2015, Arsenal wanted to sign Windass, then at Accrington Stanley.

It was reported that Arsene Wenger’s side were leading the chase for the youngster and were in pole position to secure his services in January 2016.

Windass, though, signed a pre-contract with Rangers in January 2016 before officially joining the Scottish club in the summer of 2016.
