Glasgow Rangers midfielder Jason Holt is reportedly wanted by former Ibrox teammate Joey Barton at Fleetwood Town.

It has been reported that Holt did not travel with the rest of the Rangers squad to Spain for their training camp and will hold talks with Fleetwood today.
Good move for Jason Holt?
Holt has been on the books of Rangers since the summer of 2015 when he joined after leaving Scottish Premiership rivals Heart of Midlothian.
The 25-year-old midfielder has done relatively well for the Gers, but there has always been the feeling that he could have done more.
The former Scotland Under-21 international featured in 26 Scottish Premiership matches for Rangers this past season, scoring two goals and providing eight assists in the process, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

Praise for Joey Barton
Holt played with Barton at Rangers, and the 25-year-old does seem to rate the current Fleetwood manager highly.
Former Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers midfielder Barton was on the books of Rangers from the summer of 2016 until November 2016.

Back in June 2016, Holt expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing alongside Barton.
Holt told The Scottish Sun in June 2016 about Barton: “I speak for the rest of the players when I say we’re really looking forward to playing with him, training with him and being around him on a day-to-day basis.
“It will be great to be sitting in a dressing-room with players like him. I’m sure it can only benefit me and I’m sure I’ll learn a lot from him.”
