Glasgow Rangers midfielder Emerson Hyndman, signed on loan from Bournemouth, is praised by Jurgen Klinsmann and Felix Magath.

Rangers recently secured the services of Emerson Hyndman on a loan deal from Bournemouth.

Hyndman has joined Mark Warburton’s Rangers on loan until the end of the season.

The young midfielder moved to Premier League outfit Bournemouth in the summer of 2016 after leaving Fulham at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

The 20-year-old failed to make a single appearance in the Premier League for the Cherries this season.

Hyndman, though, is rated highly by two footballing heavyweights – Jurgen Klinsmann and Felix Magath.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Klinsmann, who won the 1990 World Cup with Germany, worked with the midfielder when he was in charge of the USA national team, while Magath, who led Bayern Munich to Bundesliga success in 2005 and 2006, worked with the youngster at English club Fulham.

“Emerson is just phenomenal,” Klinsmann told The Scottish Sun. “This kid came to our first game after the World Cup, and in our first training session he played like he was always with us.

“At that time he was barely 18. I said to my coach, ‘Are you seeing what I’m seeing?’ Everyone was like ‘woah.’”

“I have never seen a player of his age play that — he passes like an old professional,” said Magath. “I’m sure he will be a good player. His role could be similar to the one that Andrea Pirlo plays, responsible for the forward play of the team from deep.”

Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 39 points from 21 matches.

The Gers are 19 points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have a game in hand.

Warburton’s side will return to action on January 21 when they take on Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell at Ibrox in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
