Rangers want Michael Beale as their new manager and a £1.5million move from Queens Park Rangers may be given the green light.
The Gers decided to sack manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst on Monday.
The Dutchman only took charge in November 2021 and guided Rangers to an unlikely spot in the Europa League final last season.
Yet after a terrible Champions League campaign alongside falling nine points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, Van Bronckhorst has gone.

Rangers want Michael Beale
So who comes in next for Rangers?
The likes of Sean Dyche and even former boss Steven Gerrard have been mentioned but Rangers could go elsewhere.
Rather than go for Gerrard, Rangers could instead go for his old assistant coach Michael Beale.
Beale left Rangers to follow Gerrard to Aston Villa last year but decided to quit Villa over the summer to become Queens Park Rangers boss.
Beale has fared well in charge of QPR considering the lack of transfer budget over the summer and has the R’s in contention for the Championship playoffs.
The Daily Record now claim that Beale is indeed interested in heading back to Ibrox as Rangers boss.
It’s stated that Rangers would need to pay £1.5million to get Beale out of QPR just weeks after he rejected a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Beale allegedly remains very close with the Ibrox board and even came back to watch Rangers in action against Aberdeen last month.
QPR director of football Les Ferdinand is also quoted by the Record as saying that he only wants people who are committed to QPR, so if Beale wants to go then the door is open.
Beale looks to be the hot favourite for the Rangers job now, even with that £1.5million added onto the £3.5million needed to sack Van Bronckhorst and his staff.
Rangers clearly rate Beale highly and whilst QPR don’t want to see him go, a swift return to Glasgow could now be on the cards.
