Graeme Murty’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly want to bring Greg Docherty to Ibrox. Cardiff City and Preston North End have been linked as well.

Rangers may be facing competition for Greg Docherty of Hamilton Academical, but the Ibrox club could have an advantage in the pursuit of the 21-year-old midfielder.
According to The Daily Record, Rangers, Cardiff City and Preston North End are interested in signing Docherty from Hamilton in the January transfer window.

The Accries want as much as £600,000 as transfer fee in order to part company with the 21-year-old, according to the report, which also claims that he will miss the Scottish Cup tie against Motherwell due to a minor knock.
What is interesting is that The Daily Record has claimed that Docherty is keen on a move to Rangers, and that discussions between the Gers and Hamilton will continue over the weekend.

Cardiff and Preston are aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship in England this season and are attractive clubs, but if the youngster is keen on moving to Ibrox, then it is certainly an advantage for Rangers which they need to make the most of and get the deal done sooner rather than later.
