Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers want Derby County’s Max Lowe, and so do Neil Lennon’s Celtic, according to reports.

According to The Daily Record, Celtic have held talks with Derby County over the transfer of Max Lowe, but Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers may have the advantage.
The Daily Record claimed last month of Rangers’ interest in signing Lowe from Derby in the summer transfer window, and despite Neil Lennon’s Celtic having reportedly open talks with the Rams, Steven Gerrard’s side may have the advantage due to the Liverpool legend’s relationship with Rams boss Frank Lampard.
Gerrard and Lampard know each other very well from their days together for the England international, and the Rangers boss could convince the Derby manager to sell Lowe to him.
Rangers do need to sign a left-back in the summer transfer window, and the 22-year-old – who can also operate as a midfielder – would be a smart signing, especially as he did quite well during his loan spell at Aberdeen from Derby.

During the 2018-19 campaign, the English left-back made 31 starts and two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Aberdeen, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
