Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers want Harry Wilson at Ibrox, with Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic also claimed to be interested in the Liverpool winger.

Both Rangers and Celtic have connections with Liverpool. While current Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is a legend of the Reds, Celtic boss Rodgers was in charge of the Merseyside outfit from the summer of 2012 until October 2015.
It is no surprise that both Rangers and Celtic have been linked with loan deals for young Liverpool players.
According to talkSPORT, the Ibrox club and the Celtic Park outfit want to sign winger Harry Wilson on loan from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The Scottish Sun claimed in June that Liverpool manager Gerrard wants to secure the services of Dominic Solanke on a loan deal this summer.
However, Rangers may have advantage over Celtic over the signing of Wilson – who earns £4,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – in the summer transfer window.

According to The Liverpool Echo, Rangers manager Gerrard will have first refusal on any young players Liverpool want to loan out to a club in Scotland.
“Gerrard’s close bond with Liverpool will ensure that Rangers aren’t beaten to loan signings they want by any of their domestic rivals,” adds the report.
“The Reds know their rising talent would be in safe hands under the guidance of the Kop icon, who impressed at the Academy as under-18s coach before taking the leap into management.”
If Liverpool prefer Rangers to other clubs in Scotland, then it would be pretty much fruitless for Celtic to try for any young Anfield players the Gers already have their eyes on.
