Rangers should sign Martin Boyle this summer – at least that’s the verdict of former Ibrox defender Craig Moore.
The Gers are in need of new attacking firepower this summer in order to take Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad forward.
Regardless of whether Alfredo Morelos stays at Rangers or moves on this summer, Rangers have to land strikers and wingers this summer.
A striker is a bigger priority right now and it looks like PAOK striker Antonio Colak is Rangers’ top target as things stand.
Other names will be in the mix though and Rangers are now being told to go for a former Scottish Premiership star.
Rangers should sign Martin Boyle
Ex-Rangers defender Craig Moore has now spoken to the Go Radio Football Show about his former club.
Moore suggested that the man Rangers should be looking to snap up is former Hibernian star Martin Boyle.
Boyle left Hibs for a big £3million move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Faisaly, earning life-changing money in the Middle East.
You can hardly blame Boyle for making that kind of move but his future is already up in the air.
Al-Faisaly have now been relegated from Saudi Arabia’s top flight, meaning some have wondered whether Boyle will look to leave already.
The 29-year-old recorded four goals and two assists in 18 appearances as Al-Faisaly but surely won’t fancy playing in the second tier of Saudi Arabia.
Boyle knows Scottish football and is a proven Premiership football, Rangers need a winger… could there be a match here?

Moore has now called for Rangers to move aggressively for his fellow Australian this summer.
Moore doesn’t think that Celtic will be interested in Boyle, even with Australian boss Ange Postecoglou in charge.
Rangers are the ones for Moore, believing that Boyle can cause major problems out wide and would be an improvement on Scott Wright and Fashion Sakala.
Moore did note that Hibs may have a buy-back clause on Boyle, but is hoping that he ends up at Ibrox this summer.
“Celtic, no, Rangers, definitely could be a possibility,” said Moore. “I think Rangers are in a situation where they might be looking at a right winger in terms of strengthening the squad. Hagi is still injured, I know Wright and Sakala have played there but there are not natural winger types. Someone like Martin Boyle, who has proven himself, that for me would be very interesting and I’m sure Rangers will be monitoring the situation.”
“I hope for Hibs sake that agreement is in black and white. Things can change in football, and Martin Boyle is someone who will have opportunities. I’d love to see Rangers be nice and aggressive and see what is possible with the Martin Boyle situation. He is a player who showed up against Rangers and caused them all sorts of problems. If there is any opportunity Rangers should be quite aggressive. They definitely need a right winger,” he added.
