Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Umar Sadiq at Ibrox.

The Gers are interested in signing Sadiq from Roma in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.
It has been reported that the Ibrox club want to secure the services of the 21-year-old striker on a season-long loan deal.
Rangers manager and Liverpool legend Gerrard himself recently told The Scottish Sun that he is interested in securing the services of the Nigeria Under-23 international striker.
Gerrard has now suggested that he is confident of signing the youngster for Rangers between now and the end of the summer transfer window.
“It’s difficult to say whether signings will be done before the first leg but we will be doing more business,” Gerrard told The Scottish Sun. “There is nothing fresh at the moment on Sadiq. He is still a Roma player.
“But it’s been well documented I’m a fan of the player. I think it’s just a case of ‘watch this space’.”

Exciting times ahead
Rangers have already made a number of signings in the summer transfer window, including Jon Flanagan and Allan McGregor, and one suspects that the Glasgow giants will make further additions to their squad before the start of the 2018-19 campaign.
The Gers will be aiming to challenge bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
