Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard wants Matt Polster at Ibrox.

Polster, who can operate as a right-back or as a midfielder, trained with the Rangers squad in Tenerife.
Gerrard has been impressed with the USA international, and the Rangers boss has revealed that he has made an offer to the 25-year-old.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun about Polster: “We’re in talks with his agent. We haven’t got it over the line just yet, but we’ve told his advisers we’d like him to come.
“It would be a long-term deal. I know him well from the MLS. He’s a player who can play numerous positions.
“He’s a good professional, he’s in good shape and I think he’s got the potential to be a first-team player for us if the financials work. He could be an interesting one for the future.”

Good signing for Rangers
Rangers do have enough quality midfielders and are quite strong at right-back, but given Polster’s quality and experience, the 25-year-old will be a good signing for the Scottish Premiership giants.
The Chicago Fire star has been playing well for his club in recent seasons, and he has also been capped by the USA at the international level.
While Polster will struggle to establish himself in the Rangers starting lineup rightaway, he could feature for the team in the final months of the season and during the 2019-20 campaign.
Rangers are challenging bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title this season.
The Gers have signed striker Jermain Defoe and midfielder Steven Davis on loan from Bournemouth and Southampton respectively.
