Kyle Lafferty joined Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers in the summer of 2018.

Gerrard has also praised Lafferty for his performance for Rangers against St. Johnstone away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
The 31-year-old forward – who joined Rangers from Heart of Midlothian in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Glasgow Evening Times to be worth £500,000 – did not start the match, but the Northern Ireland international came on as a substitute in the 56th minute.
According to WhoScored, Lafferty has made six starts and eight substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, scoring three goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
Gerrard told Rangers’ official website: “I thought Lafferty was a constant thorn in their side and could have had a couple himself – his goal will come.”

Faith in Kyle Lafferty
Strikers are judged on goals, and Lafferty needs to start scoring soon, but the Northern Ireland international will be encouraged by Gerrard’s faith in him.
One can understand that it must be hard for the 31-year-old to make an impact as a substitute, but he needs to score a few goals in order to push Alfredo Morelos for a spot in the starting lineup.
