Rangers have bounced back from their defeat in Russia with style, as Steven Gerrard’s side have hammered Motherwell at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.
The Gers headed into the match against Motherwell on the back of a 4-3 defeat to Spartak Moscow away from home in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Rangers destroyed Motherwell, as the Ibrox club picked up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 7-1 win.
Scott Arfield scored twice for Rangers and so did Eros Grezda, while James Tavernier (penalty), Alfredo Morelos and Glenn Middleton found the net once each.
Motherwell scored one through Curtis Main and also had Carl McHugh sent off in the 34th minute for two bookable offences.
The win against Motherwell at Ibrox means that Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 24 points from 12 matches, just two points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Rangers manager Gerrard was impressed with the performance of 23-year-old Albania international Grezda, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder and joined the Gers from Osijek in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Daily Record to be worth £2 million.

Gerrard told Rangers’ official Twitter page about Grezda: “I have been waiting for this moment, and Eros has been waiting for this moment, and the fans have as well. I think today it arrived. I think you could see today.
“He scored a couple of goals, he had some moments as well, and he can get better. He can improve. There is more to come, and it will come.”
