Glasgow Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack is injured at the moment.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Gerrard has said that he is annoyed that Jack picked up an injury during international duty with Scotland.
The 27-year-old defensive midfielder was sent off early from the Scotland camp due to a knee injury.
Liverpool legend Gerrard is not happy that Scotland manager Steve Clarke made Jack do a double session and run 11km just 48 hours after the Old Firm derby against Celtic at Ibrox.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun: “I haven’t spoken to Ryan about it. I am too annoyed to speak to him about it. It is what it is and we have to move on.
“I have not spoken to Steve. I don’t know what the session was — only that there was 11 k involved in a double session.”
Title challenge
Jack has had injury problems at Rangers, and the defensive midfielder is an important player for the Gers.
One can understand why Rangers manager Gerrard is annoyed at the current situation, but there is nothing he can do about it.
Rangers and Gerrard now need to move on and focus on challenging Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
The Gers will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Livingston at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.
