Glasgow Rangers striker Ryan Hardie is with Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox side in Tenerife.

Hardie joined Livingston on a season-long loan deal from Ibrox club Rangers in the summer transfer window.
The Scotland Under-21 international has been affected by injury problems this season, but the young striker has been in good form recently.
Rangers manager Gerrard has explained why Hardie is with his squad in Tenerife, and the Liverpool legend has also suggested that the 21-year-old could be sent out on loan again.
Gerrard told The Glasgow Evening Times about Hardie: “Ryan is here because I want to see up close and personal. He was promised a loan move when I arrived at the club and injured so I haven’t had a chance to see him.
“I’ve been very impressed with him at Livingston and he’s obviously our player so it makes sense for me to see him closely for a full week and sit down and have a chat with him to see where his head is at.
“I won’t keep him here just to be a squad player. I understand he’s a young player and we need to develop him so don’t be surprised if you see him go out on loan again but we do see a future for him here at Rangers.”

Livingston loan spell
With Rangers signing Jermain Defoe on loan from Bournemouth in the January transfer window, Hardie is unlikely to get much playing time at the Gers during the second half of the season.
It will be better for the 21-year-old striker if he finishes the season on loan at Livingston as planned, and then links up with Gerrard’s squad in the summer of 2019 for the 2019-20 campaign.
