Former Celtic winger David Provan has strongly criticised Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha in The Scottish Sun.

The former Scotland international was not impressed with Rangers boss Caixinha’s recent controversial decision regarding Michael O’Halloran and Harry Forrester.

As reported by The Daily Record, the Portuguese boss recently made 26-year-old forward O’Halloran, 26-year-old attacking midfielder Forrester, and 26-year-old defender Kiernan train at 6am.

“Nothing wrong with Pedro Caixinha flexing muscle, but making Michael O’Halloran and Harry Forrester train at 6am?” Provan wrote in The Scottish Sun. “A good way to ensure neither will go the extra yard for Caixinha if they’re ever asked.

“Across town, Celtic are on the verge of a Treble because the players would walk over broken glass for Brendan Rodgers. With a raft of players heading out of Ibrox, Caixinha can’t afford to be p***A**g anybody off.”

Rangers boss Caixinha has been quite strong with his players since his appointment, and maybe that is just his management style.

The Gers look set to finish third in the Scottish Premiership this season. Caixinha will surely want the Ibrox outfit to aim higher and compete for the league title with Celtic.

Rangers will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Aberdeen at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership.

The Ibrox outfit will head into the match with confidence and should be able to pick up all three points.
