There are a couple of new names in contention for the Glasgow Rangers job with the Ibrox hot-seat still waiting to be filled.

There was an interesting twist in the market on Sunday with Derek McInnes losing his spot at the top of the market, having been the odds-on favourite for the post almost continuously following Pedro Caixinha’s departure.

It is too soon to rule the Aberdeen manager out of the running, but as he is the 2/1 second favourite, it appears that his chances of getting the job may be fading.
He has been replaced at the top of the market by Alex McLeish, with Sky Bet now listing the former Gers manager at 8/11 for the job 11 years after his departure from the Ibrox dugout.

And there is a new third favourite for the post with current caretaker Graeme Murty now drifting out to the 12/1 fourth favourite, just ahead of Frank De Boer (14/1) and Pulis (16/1) – following the Welshman’s departure from The Hawthorns earlier on Monday.
The interesting update surrounds St Johnstone’s Tommy Wright, who has moved into the 6/1 third favourite having barely been seen amongst the bookies’ contenders ever since the position became vacant – so perhaps there is a chance that Wright may be being considered for the post having done an excellent job at McDiarmid Park.
