Steve McClaren has been linked with the Glasgow Rangers job, and is now a contender in the betting market for the Ibrox post.

Another day, another second favourite in the Sky Bet market for Rangers’ next manager, with current caretaker Graeme Murty drifting out slightly, and Steve McClaren taking the spot as Derek McInnes’ nearest challenger amid speculation linking the Englishman with the job.
Aberdeen boss McInnes appears to have been the odds-on favourite since Pedro Caixinha departed Ibrox towards the end of last month after a poor start to the season.

Sky Sports reports that McInnes currently tops the shortlist that has been drawn up by Director of Football Mark Allen, and thus, he has been listed as the 4/6 favourite for the job on Sky Bet.
Murty was 4/1 on Sunday, but has drifted to third favourite – though his price has not changed drastically with the under-20s coach now listed at 9/2.

Instead, McClaren is now listed as the second favourite. Once again, Sky Sports reported that the former Derby County boss is being considered for the post and would be interested in discussing terms with the Scottish Premiership side.
Sky Bet have listed McClaren at 7/2, so it would certainly appear that he may be a genuine candidate for the post if the Gers do not manage to agree terms with McInnes.
