There is a new favourite in the betting for the next Glasgow Rangers manager, with a former Ibrox boss now at the top.

There has been an interesting twist in Rangers’ search for their next manager it seems, with Derek McInnes no longer the favourite with bookmaker Sky Bet to be the man to permanently succeed Pedro Caixinha at Ibrox.
McInnes seems to have been the odds-on favourite for most of the time since the Portuguese was dismissed by the Scottish Premiership side towards the end of last month.

And now Sky Bet list McInnes as the 7/4 second favourite, and it is a familiar face who has replaced him at the top of the betting.

Sky Bet now list Alex McLeish at 11/8 11 years after his first stint as Gers manager came to an end with two Scottish Premiership title, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups under his belt.
With no current odds-on favourite, it would certainly be foolish to rule out some of the other contenders slightly further back.
Current caretaker manager Graeme Murty is the third favourite at 11/2 little over 24 hours after he suffered his first defeat of his second temporary spell with Hamilton stunning the Light Blues at Ibrox.
Meanwhile, Frank De Boer – who played under McLeish during his brief playing spell in Scotland – is just behind Murty in the market, with the Dutchman now listed at 6/1.
