Glasgow Rangers caretaker Graeme Murty appears to be back in the mix for the Ibrox post.

Rangers got back to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night as they beat Aberdeen 3-0 to move to within three points of the Dons in the table – and the victory appears to have had an impact on the betting market for their next manager on Sky Bet.

Unsurprisingly, the emphatic victory over their rivals has seen Murty’s odds tumble – but perhaps it may come as a surprise just how much the 43-year-old’s odds have shortened.
Sky Bet now list Murty as the 6/1 third favourite – well clear of Frank De Boer and Slaven Bilic, who are both available at prices of 16/1 – and you would imagine that the caretaker boss’ odds may shorten further if he oversees a victory when the same two teams meet at Pittodrie at the weekend.

Perhaps more interestingly than Murty’s odds however, is the fact that McInnes’ odds have also shortened ever so slightly, with the Dons boss now available at 1/3.
Aberdeen were outplayed for much of the game at Ibrox, so those Rangers fans who are unconvinced that McInnes is the right man to take the club forward will surely be even more certain that the Gers should be looking elsewhere. They may however, still need some convincing about Murty – even after the win.
