Glasgow Rangers’ search for their next manager continues, and there has been a little bit of interesting movement in the betting for the Ibrox post.

A general view of Ibrox Stadium is seen ahead of the EURO 2016 Qualifier match between Scotland and Georgia at Ibrox Stadium on October 11, 2014 in Glasgow, Scotland.

While there is no significant movement amongst the two favourites for the Rangers job with Sky Bet – with Derek McInnes the 1/2 favourite and Alex McLeish now 13/8 – there has been a couple of interesting price drops amongst the outsiders.

Yesterday, HITC Sport reported that Sky Bet had listed Frank De Boer, Michael O’Neill and Graeme Murty as the joint third favourites at 16/1, but the latter pair have dropped back to 18/1 and a new name is alongside De Boer, while one manager has moved into 10/1.

The man at 10/1 is former Australia coach Ange Postecoglou. The 52-year-old has appeared amongst the outsiders with Sky Bet for much of the time that the market has been open, but his new price is arguably interesting given that he was not amongst those available at 16/1 or lower yesterday.

Meanwhile, Sky Bet now list former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic at 16s. The Croatian left the London Stadium earlier this month after the Hammers’ poor start to the season.

Both managers have enjoyed promising tenures throughout their management careers, so there will surely be a number of Rangers fans who would not mind seeing either’s odds drop further during the coming weeks.

Rangers’ search for Caixinha’s successor is now into its second month, so the supporters will undoubtedly be hoping that some significant progress will be made in the coming days and weeks.
