Murty made a bright start to his second spell as Rangers caretaker, although back-to-back home defeats have cast doubt over his future at Ibrox.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty is among the early contenders to replace Jaap Stam at Reading, along with former Ibrox boss Mark Warburton.
Murty – who was appointed on an interim basis after Rangers sacked Warburton’s successor, Pedro Caixinha, last October – is 10/1 for a return to Reading with Sky Bet, nine years after leaving the Royals.
At this stage however, it is Warburton (8/1) and Paul Clement (4/1) who are deemed the more likely candidates, according to the same bookmaker.

Murty made a bright start to his second spell as Rangers caretaker, although back-to-back home defeats have cast doubt over his future at Ibrox.
Reading parted company with Stam on Wednesday, 10 months after his side were beaten on penalties in the Championship play-off final.

And appointing Murty – who spent 11 years at Reading and captained them to the Premier League in 2005 – would be a popular move with many Royals supporters.
Reading assistant Andries Ulderink, former Royals manager Phil Parkinson – now of Bolton Wanderers – and Marco Silva – the ex-Watford boss – are also 10/1 in the early betting.
