Former Liverpool midfielder and Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister wants the latter to emulate the consistency of the former.
The Reds were crowned Premier League champions after a 30-year heartache last week and Rangers can draw parallels having seen Celtic lift the title nine years running.
As per the Scotsman, McAllister said: “Liverpool, it doesn’t matter what type of game it is. They are tactically very aware. A physical game, they can deal with that. You want to take them on, they will probably win.
“They are masters at everything. That is the demand here. It’s the exact same. The expectation levels are the exact same. It’s about keeping the levels high all the time. That’s the demands of being at a club like Rangers.
“Rangers are very similar to what I experienced at Liverpool and Leeds United – you can’t switch off.”
For Rangers, it’s about taking the level of performance from the big European games or Celtic clashes and replicating it week-in, week-out.
The pressure is on when one defeat can hand Celtic such a huge advantage and that’s what Rangers have to deal with.
They could do worse than look at the way the culture was transformed at Liverpool in the time that Jurgen Klopp has been in charge.
For Rangers, the title is a holy grail just like it was for Liverpool and McAllister and Gerrard seem keen to try and channel that drive, passion and determination to end the drought in the right way by changing the culture of the club.
