Glasgow Rangers midfielder Ovie Ejaria has suggested that he is not entirely happy with his form at Ibrox.

Ejaria has arguably been one of Steven Gerrard’s most successful signings. When he arrived from Liverpool, it appeared to be a somewhat odd move from the Gers boss given that the club are well-stocked in midfield and the youngster had endured an underwhelming loan spell at Sunderland last term.
But the 20-year-old has really impressed and is arguably at the top of the pecking order right now when it comes to central midfielders. He looks composed on the ball and has a touch of class within his game.
Nevertheless, he is yet to provide an assist in the Scottish Premiership and has only scored once in the top flight since joining. And following the 2-0 win away at St Mirren on Saturday, the Reds youngster admitted that he wants to make a greater impact in the final third.

“I’m getting close and I just want to keep trying and hopefully one of them will go in and I’m looking forward to it.”

It is almost remarkable that Ejaria is not providing more goals and assists. His form has been very encouraging and it would be no surprise if his Anfield prospects have improved somewhat due to his form at Ibrox.
With Rangers struggling to break teams down at the moment – they have scored just three goals in their last four games – Gerrard undoubtedly needs more goals from elsewhere, so he will be very keen to see Ejaria find his shooting boots in the near future.
