Glasgow Rangers loanee Greg Docherty continues to shine during his time away from Ibrox.

Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment and pride after his side’s run in the FA Cup came to an end with a fourth round replay defeat.
Docherty has been a key player during Shrewsbury’s run in the competition, and he helped set up the replay with Premier League high-flyers Wolves by scoring a superb goal in the 2-2 draw last month.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men would have been heavy favourites heading into the rematch at Molineux on Tuesday. And everything seemed to be going to plan as Matt Doherty gave the top flight side a 1-0 lead inside two minutes.
However, the Gers loanee’s current side threatened to produce a remarkable upset as they then scored twice to take the lead.

Unfortunately for Docherty and co, Wolves would then score twice more to ensure that they will face Bristol City in the fifth round of the competition.
Despite the defeat, it has been a brilliant run for the Shrews. And Docherty has been a revelation throughout much of their run, as he has been in the league this season.

And following the cup exit, he took to Twitter to reflect on the run…
Docherty has certainly made the most of his time away from Ibrox. He has scored eight goals in all competitions and is regularly being lauded by the Shrewsbury fans.
If there is any loanee that really stands a chance of forcing his way into Steven Gerrard’s plans at Rangers, it may well be Docherty, with an impressive performance against a Premier League side only leading to his stock rising further.
