Umar Sadiq, reportedly wanted by Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers, was not included in his club’s pre-season tour.

Umar Sadiq has been close to joining Rangers for a while now it seems.
Toward the end of last month, The Daily Mail reported that Rangers were on the brink of signing the Roma striker on loan.
Fast forward nine days and the 6’3 powerhouse striker is nowhere to be seen, but it looks like that might be about to change.
According to The Scottish Sun, Sadiq, who reportedly earns £310,000 per year with Roma [Calciomercato], was omitted from the Italian club’s 31-man squad for their upcoming pre-season tour in what could be a big clue that an Ibrox move is imminent.
Of course, another club could have swooped in and stolen a march on the Gers, but until that is reported it looks safe to believe that his omission is suggestive that a transfer is on the horizon.
The sooner that Rangers sign Sadiq, the sooner new manager Steven Gerrard can put the finishing touches on his transfer business, having brought seven players to Ibrox already this summer.
