So why did Rangers fan Oli McBurnie choose Barnsley with a move to Ibrox on offer?

McBurnie regular tweets on Rangers games and messages players, and for a moment on deadline day it appeared he would join the club he makes no secret of supporting.
So it was a little surprising to see him elect to join Barnsley instead.
But McBurnie has unfinished business at Barnsley, having had a loan deal cancelled earlier in the season.

Explaining his decision to join Barnsley, McBurnie said that his decision was based on playing time.
He told Swansea City’s official website: “I had a good conversation with the manager (Carlos Carvalhal) and we both agreed that I needed game time. With the options limited here, Barnsley was the perfect club for me to do just that.”
McBurnie is only just getting started, and at 21-years-old has plenty of time left to realise his Rangers dream.
For a moment on deadline day it seemed striker Alfredo Morelos’ future could be in doubt, but Rangers held firm amid strong interest from Chinese clubs.
If Morelos had been sold then McBurnie may have thought differently, but with Jason Cummings already signing on loan, he may find his chance of regular football better at Oakwell.
