Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants Karlan Grant at Ibrox in the summer of 2019.

Earlier this month, The Scottish Sun reported of interest from Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers in Charlton Athletic forward Karlan Grant.
It was reported that Rangers were planning on signing Grant on a pre-contract agreement in the January transfer window as a long-term replacement for Alfredo Morelos.
Rangers do not need another striker this month, as the Gers have signed Jermain Defoe on loan from Bournemouth in the January transfer window.
However, planning ahead for the future and signing a long-term replacement for star striker Morelos is a smart idea, but it seems that Rangers are going to miss out on Grant.
The Sun has reported that Huddersfield Town have agreed a £2 million fee with Charlton over the transfer of the 21-year-old forward this week.
The Daily Mail has claimed that Huddersfield hope to complete the youngster signing today.

Of course, Rangers are a much bigger club than Huddersfield and have a much bigger following worldwide, but joining a Premier League club now must be much more tempting than moving to the Gers at the end of the season.
It also makes sense for Charlton to cash in on Grant now instead of losing him on a free at the end of the season when his current contract runs out.
