Rangers-linked goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann won’t be heading to Ibrox after all.

Rangers are being linked with a host of players this summer, but will obviously miss out or simply not sign many as Steven Gerrard retools his squad.
The Gers have already brought in five signings this summer, as Steven Davis, Jake Hastie, Jordan Jones, Greg Stewart and Sheyi Ojo have all arrived.
More players are expected to arrive at Ibrox in the coming weeks, and another goalkeeper may well be on Gerrard’s arrival amid uncertainty over Wes Foderingham’s future.
Gerrard brought in Andy Firth in January as a third-choice stopper, but with Foderingham potentially moving on for first-team football, a new second-choice to backup Allan McGregor would be needed.
The Scottish Sun reported in May that Rangers were looking at Jonathan Klinsmann, who has left Hertha Berlin on a free transfer at the end of his contract.

The son of German legend Jurgen, Klinsmann is a United States youth international, and whilst he was allegedly eyed by Rangers, he won’t be arriving at Ibrox any time soon.
Swiss side St Gallen today announced that they’ve signed Klinsmann, and he’ll now hope to kickstart his career there, leaving Rangers to look for another goalkeeper elsewhere.
