Brisbane Roar’s Craig Moore has told the Brisbane Courier Mail that he is flatted by reported interest from former club Rangers.
Whilst the Gers are looking for a new manager following Mark Warburton’s resignation earlier this month, other new faces are also wanted at Ibrox.
Rangers Managing Director Stewart Robertson told the club’s official website earlier this week that, after recruitment chief Frank McParland left the club along with Warburton, a Director of Football is now wanted.
A host of names have been linked with the post, and the Daily Mail reported over the weekend that Craig Moore is in contention for the job.
Moore, 41, had two spells with Rangers as a player, hitting 14 goals in 252 games for the club whilst winning five league titles, four Scottish Cups and three Scottish League Cups.
The former Gers skipper has long since retired, but has remained in football having been appointed as Brisbane Roar’s Football Operations Manager back in 2015.

The Aussie has now been linked with a return to Ibrox in a Director of Football role, and the former centre back has commented on the speculation this weekend.
Moore has told the Brisbane Courier Mail that he will always follow Rangers’ progress, but has not held any talks about a return to Glasgow, and he is completely focused on his job with Brisbane Roar.
“It’s a club I spent 12 years at so you always follow their progress,” said Moore. “I must stress, however, there has been no contact made (from Rangers) or conversations had on this matter. I am an employee of Brisbane Roar and I am fully committed to the role I have here as football director. I have a huge job to do and it requires my complete focus,” he added.
