Rangers legend Barry Ferguson thinks the Light Blues thinks the Ibrox side will be looking for “£15million-plus” to sell Alfredo Morelos this summer as Porto continue to reportedly circle the Colombian striker.
Morelos is a massive favourite of the Gers support and any exit would need to see Rangers land top dollar for the club’s all-time record European goalscorer.
Ferguson thinks in excess of £15million should do the trick and doesn’t believe that Steven Gerrard is in any rush to sell El Bufalo.
“Rangers are in a good position in terms that they can hold out and get a fee that they believe he is valued at,” Ferguson said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“I think that’s £15 million-plus, I do believe that.
“I think last season he improved, he became a real team player.
“He did not score as many goals but I thought his link-up play was really good, he played well in Europe and scored against Celtic.
“I don’t think Rangers are in a rush (to sell Morelos), you don’t want to lose your best players.
“It depends what the buying club is willing to pay and I think Rangers have to ask for in the region of £15 million-plus.”
Morelos’ future needs sorted quickly or risk disrupting Rangers’ summer

The ongoing saga of Morelos’ future needs to be resolved one way or the other quickly with Rangers facing a massive summer.
With Champions League qualifiers and the return to the Premiership just weeks away, the Gers can’t afford to have uncertainty over where Morelos will be playing his football.
While there’s no pressing need to find an immediate replacement, the funds raised by selling Morelos could be used elsewhere so – if a deal is to be done – Rangers will surely want it completed as soon as possible to allow them to spend the money elsewhere.
