Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers side are just two points behind Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic in the league table.

Rangers legend Terry Butcher sat down for an exclusive interview with the Daily Record, and predicted that Celtic will begin to kick in to gear now, and assert their dominance in the Scottish Premiership title race.
The Hoops currently sit comfortably at the top of the table, two points clear of the Gers, having taken 26 points from their first 12 league outings.
Celtic have dominated domestically over the past seven years, whilst Rangers have struggled, and Brendan Rodgers’ men seem to be in a great position to go on and win their eighth consecutive league title.
Butcher, who spent four years at Ibrox with Rangers, told the Daily Record how he fully expects Celtic to hit form at the turn of the new year, and forge ahead in the title race:

“Celtic will come into their own in the title race when the new year comes. That’s what they do, the machine cranks into gear and is ready to go. Celtic seem to have had a breather during the early part of the season, then wham and they find top gear.”
Rangers face Livingstone at Ibrox on Saturday, and nothing less than a victory will do, if they are to keep up the pressure on Celtic above them in the table.
