Celtic will host Old Firm rivals Rangers in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

Paul Gascoigne has stated that he was ‘lucky’ to play on 11 occasions for Rangers against Celtic and claimed that he was Man of the Match in each of those matches.
The former England international lauded the Old Firm fixture as ‘massive’ and backed Gers manager Steven Gerrard to inspire his team to the Scottish Premiership title in the near future.
On Sunday, the Glasgow giants will lock horns at Parkhead, with the Bhoys currently holding a mammoth 10 point lead over their bitter rivals.
Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT (28/03/2019 at 10:15 am), Gazza shared his thoughts on the Old Firm matches and was in typically bullish mood when talking about his record against Celtic.
“If Celtic do 10 in a row then it’s going to take what 11 years in a row [for Rangers],” Gazza told Jim White. “Them games are massive. I was lucky to play in 11, unbeaten in 11 and got Man of the Match in 11, so that’s good,” he chuckled.
“What a great job for him [Gerrard]. Good on him. I’m sure he can [win that title for Rangers one day]. The player he was if he can turn that into the players as well and give them that inspiration then obviously he has every chance.”

There is no doubt that Gerrard and his players need a near miracle if they are to stop eight-in-a-row from occurring this season.
But with two matches against Celtic, including the weekend clash, they have a chance to test the nerves of Neil Lennon’s men.
During the reverse fixture in December, when Brendan Rodgers was still in charge of the Hoops, Rangers ran out 1-0 winners and they will be hoping for the same at the weekend.
