Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side play host to Graeme Murty’s Rangers in the Old Firm clash on Sunday.

Rangers legend Barry Ferguson simply brushed off Celtic skipper Scott Brown’s recent comments as meaningless mind games, when speaking exclusively to the Daily Record.
The Hoops ace suggested earlier this week that the Gers are not even the second best team in Scotland, when asked if Graeme Murty’s men were closing the gap on Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Rangers currently sit in second spot in the Scottish Premiership table, 10 points adrift of Celtic, with just four league games remaining this season.

If Murty’s men can finish in second spot this season, it will surely be considered as an improvement on last term, but that will be no consolation to their fans, who are desperate for their side to beat Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title.
Rodgers’ men will wrap up their seventh league title in a row with a win over the Gers on Sunday, and that in itself should be enough motivation for Murty’s men to put in a top performance at Parkhead.
Scott Brown has already started the mind games ahead of the clash by claiming that Rangers are not even the second best side in Scotland, but Ferguson made light of the Celtic skipper’s comments, when speaking to the Daily Record:

“I saw his comments and, to be honest, I can’t understand why so many people are getting their knickers in a twist over what he said. I just looked at it and laughed. Listen, I may not be the smartest guy in the world, but I’m sitting here looking at a league table right now and as far as I can see it has got Rangers sitting in second place. There’s an old saying in football which always holds true; the league table does not lie. Celtic are the best team in the country which is why they are out in front of the rest. Rangers might only be in second place on goal difference but it still makes them the second best in the country as things stand.”
The game kicks off at 12:00 and can be seen exclusively live on Sky Sports.
