Rangers and Leeds want Murray Campbell having both watched him in action for St Mirren against Northampton Town this week.
Both Rangers and Leeds love to bring in young talent to try and develop them for the future.
Rangers have landed Zak Lovelace from Millwall, Cameron Bell from Everton, Archie Stevens from AFC Wimbledon, Lancelot Pollard from Aberdeen, Bailey Rice from Motherwell and Cammy Cooper from Partick Thistle this summer.
Leeds regularly recruit for their Under-23’s, landing the likes of Leo Hjelde and Lewis Bate in recent times.
It’s not surprise to see both clubs interested in more young players this summer and they were bound to be interested in the same player at some point.
Rangers and Leeds want Murray Campbell
That player appears to be Murray Campbell, with the St Mirren teenager now attracting major interest.
The Daily Record claim that Rangers sent head of academy Craig Mulholland to watch Campbell in a action for St Mirren in a pre-season friendly against Northampton Town.
Rangers also want teammate Dylan Reid and could move to sign both players this summer.
Glasgow World add that Leeds United scouted Campbell too, alongside Leicester City, Southampton and Brighton.

St Mirren would be seeking around £400,000 for the 15-year-old defender, but boss Stephen Robinson claims no bids have come in just yet.
Robinson added that he rates Campbell very highly but he is ‘still only a baby’ and needs to make the right decisions for his development.
St Mirren may feel that Campbell’s best route is to stay put and grow into their first team before eventually moving on.
Rangers, Leeds and more will hope to lure Campbell away though with the promise of playing for huge clubs with incredible facilities.
That Campbell is even playing senior friendlies at 15 is quite incredible, and certainly shows why Leeds and Rangers are so keen.
