Rangers released promotion images of their new Castore home kit for 2021/22 this morning – and fans are hopeful that Ibrox star Glen Kamara featuring so prominently is a hint at his long-term future.

The Gers launched their new kit at 8am as fans flocked to Ibrox and the club’s online store to get their hands on the new shirt, with the likes of Kamara, Nathan Patterson, Lizzie Arnot and James Tavernier all featured in the promos.

While Kamara is under contract at Ibrox until 2023, talks over a new deal appear to have stalled as a host of clubs have been credited with an interest in the former Arsenal kid.

Rangers fans are desperate to see him tied down to a new long-term contract and his impressive performances for Finland at Euro 2020 have only increased the anxiety over whether the Gers go into the new season without him.

Any move away from Rangers would see the Gers net a massive profit on the £50k it cost to bring him to Ibrox from Dundee in 2019 but replacing the Finn would be a very difficult task for Steven Gerrard.

As fans rushed to get their hands on the home shirt Gerrard’s side will be wearing as they defend their title this season, Kamara’s involvement in the promotion has fans hoping good news on his future is coming soon.
