Rangers want Kenny McLean
The Scottish Daily Express report that Rangers are considering a move to bring Norwich City ace McLean to Ibrox.
McLean is out of contract at the end of the season and Rangers are allegedly eyeing a pre-contract agreement with the midfielder.
The 30-year-old is a regular in the Norwich first team, starting 17 Championship games so far this season.
McLean has bagged one goal and two assists this term and could end up making a big move back to Scotland.
McLean actually spent a couple of years in the Rangers youth ranks before leaving in 2008, joining St Mirren.
Having earned a strong reputation with St Mirren and Aberdeen, McLean headed to England with Norwich City back in 2018.
Also a Scotland regular with 28 caps to his name, McLean is a solid performer and a Rangers move would be an absolute dream.
McLean admitted to The Athletic last year that he grew up supporting Rangers.
McLean added that he would like to play for Rangers before his career is over and a move would be ‘pretty special’ for him and his family.
If Rangers offer McLean a deal, it seems likely that he would be interested in heading to Ibrox – and the decision will now be down to Ross Wilson and whoever Rangers appoint as their new boss.
