Rangers want Keanu Baccus and face paying around £350,000 to lure the St Mirren midfielder to Ibrox during this month’s transfer window.
That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim that Baccus is a wanted man this month.
It’s stated that Championship clubs Cardiff City, Middlesbrough and Norwich City are all eyeing moves to sign Baccus.
The report notes that St Mirren would sell for around £350,000 because Baccus is out of contract in 2024, so this may be the time to sell.
The Scottish Sun reported late in December that new Rangers boss Michael Beale had added Baccus to his January wish list.
If Rangers want to sign Baccus ahead of those Championship clubs, they will need to move quickly and be ready to pay a fairly reasonable fee.

Keanu Baccus could help Rangers retool their midfield
The time has come for Rangers to completely overhaul their midfield.
Steven Davis is now 38 and has suffered a season-ending injury that could bring the curtain down on his Rangers career.
Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield are both out of contract in the summer and Rangers need to build a new midfield.
Baccus may well fit the bill having impressed for St Mirren since joining from Western Sydney Wanderers last year.
The 24-year-old, born in South Africa, has become an Australian international regular and impressed at the World Cup.
Former Rangers ace Craig Moore hailed Baccus as ‘unbelievable’ for Australia against Denmark in Qatar, so the interest is no surprise.
£350,000 is a bargain price for a player like Baccus and whilst he may not have absolute star power, he would be a solid and consistent performer for Rangers – something Beale will want in his engine room.
Beating Championship clubs won’t be easy, but Rangers will hope that the prospect of staying in Scotland can help tempt Baccus.
