Mark Warburton’s Rangers suffered a 1-0 defeat to Celtic at Hampden Park.
Rangers midfielder Josh Windass has told a press conference, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account, that Sunday’s Old Firm defeat in the semi-final of the Scottish League Cup was his worst display since moving to Ibrox.
Windass, who arrived at Rangers from Accrington Stanley in July, was making only his seventh competitive appearance for his new employers, in a game which ended 1-0 to Celtic.

And despite a collective improvement from Rangers since their last encounter with Cetic – September’s 5-1 defeat at Parkhead – the 22-year-old, who has been in and out of the side with injuries, admitted that while fit he was not his usual self on the ball.
“I would say yesterday is the worst I have played since I have been there,” Windass was quoted as saying. “Sometimes you don’t turn up and it was one of those days.
“I was fit but on the ball I wasn’t my usual self.
Windass, who was withdrawn in the 70th minute at Hampden Park, will need to pick himself up quickly given Niko Kranjcar’s injury, which reports claim could rule the Croatian out for the remainder of the campaign.

The Yorkshireman said of his teammate: “Everyone in the squad loves Niko and is devastated for him.”
Windass has scored once for Rangers so far, but found the net on 17 occasions and provided seven assists for Accrington last term.
