Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers parted company with legendary playmaker Niko Kranjcar last week.

Speaking to Sky Sports’ Soccer Am program, Josh Windass has lavished praise on former Rangers team-mate Niko Kranjcar.
The Croatia legend had his contract at Ibrox terminated by mutual consent last week, having joined the club under Mark Warburton in 2015.
With 81 caps and Champions League experience with Tottenham Hotspur under his belt, the 33-year-old was easily the most high-profile player to have joined the Gers that summer, but cruciate ligament damage early on curtailed much of his first season at Ibrox.
Kranjcar only made nine appearances in all competitions this season and struggled for form and fitness in 2018, but Windass has thanked his fellow playmaker for giving him advice during his time in Glasgow.

He told Sky Sports’ Soccer Am program: “He’s unbelievable. In his first training session, the quality he had with the football was just ridiculous.
“I’d been watching him since I was younger and the advice and praise he’s given me has been really helpful.”
Ironically, it is Windass’s form which perhaps contributed to Kranjcar not playing more games. When Graeme Murty started playing the former Accrington man in a number 10 role, it meant that Kranjcar suffered and having scored 16 goals from that position since October, the 24-year-old was never going to be displaced by the former Portsmouth star.
