Rangers want Jerry Yates and are now battling a string of English clubs in the race for the Blackpool goalscorer.
The Gers drew 1-1 with Livingston on Saturday afternoon and boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst is under huge pressure.
Rangers have only dropped seven points this season but it already feels like chasing Celtic will be a struggle.
Add in a torrid Champions League campaign – four games, four defeats, one goal scored, 16 conceded – and Van Bronckhorst could be axed soon.
Given question marks over the future of Alfredo Morelos, Rangers may need to have an attacking signing in mind for 2023.

Rangers want Jerry Yates
Rangers do appear to have a target in mind as Blackpool striker Jerry Yates is on their wish list.
The Scottish Sun report that Rangers were one of 10 clubs to send scouts to watch Yates in action against Preston North End on Saturday.
Yates scored twice in Blackpool’s 4-2 derby day win, bagging two close-range headers to secure all three points for the Tangerines.
The problem for Rangers is that Premier League clubs Brentford and Bournemouth were also there to look at Yates.
Watford and West Bromwich Albion are also keen on Yates, so there appears to be a real battle for his signature.
Yates is out of contract in 2024 and is allegedly being valued at around £5million.
The 25-year-old came through the Rotherham United ranks before heading to Blackpool in 2020.
Yates smashed 23 goals in his first season with Blackpool before adding eight in the Championship last term.
Yates is already on eight goals in 16 this season with six coming in his last four games for Blackpool.
Blackpool boss Michael Appleton has praised Yates for his ‘incredible form’ after Saturday’s win, but it may end up leading to the striker’s departure.
Rangers are right in the mix for Yates, who may soon have to decide whether he wants to stay in England or make a big move to Ibrox.
