Glasgow Rangers winger Jamie Murphy will attend their latest Europa League tie at Ibrox as his comeback continues.
Jamie Murphy’s recovery from his season-ending injury appears to be on track with the Rangers winger posting a video on social media of himself walking in a swimming pool, while he also confirmed in the same tweet that he will be attending the Gers’ Europa League clash with Rapid Vienna.
Murphy received the devastating news that he will not play again this season after suffering a knee ligament injury during the Gers’ League Cup tie with Kilmarnock in August.
It was a huge blow for the Light Blues and Murphy himself who had only just completed his permanent move to Ibrox after an excellent loan spell during the second-half of last season.
But his recovery appears to be going well if his latest tweet is anything to go by. The winger has posted a video on his social media showing him walking from one side of a swimming pool to the other.
The other exciting news that Murphy confirmed is that he would be making his first return to Ibrox to watch a game since being sidelined when the Gers face the Austrian side in Europe tonight.
Rangers kicked off their Europa League campaign in excellent fashion last time out as they came from behind on two occasions to earn a 2-2 draw with Villarreal in Spain. And Gerrard will be hoping that they can now register their first win of the group-stages.
