Graeme Murty’s side Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers beat Old Firm rivals Celtic in a reserve fixture today.

Rangers prospect Jamie Barjonas has reacted to his club’s reserve win over Celtic today.
Rangers, under Graeme Murty, eased aside Celtic with a 2-0 victory at Firhill.
Glenn Middleton scored twice for Murty’s side, who are now two wins away from being crowned Reserve League champions.
It was a relatively straight forward victory for the Gers, despite the Hoops boasting some notable players such as Jack Hendry and Mikey Johnston.
And Barjonas, on loan at Raith Roves, said as much on Twitter after the game:
Murty also had the luxury of including some big-name senior players, with Middleton playing a number of Europa League games for Steven Gerrard’s side this season, while Matt Polster, a January signing by Gerrard, was also involved.
Celtic fans won’t care a great deal about the defeat, for the Bhoys have bigger commitments on the horizon after reaching the Scottish Cup final with a 3-0 win over Aberdeen at Hampden Park on Sunday.
With Neil Lennon’s side 11 points clear in the Premiership, the final with Hearts will almost certainly decide whether the Parkhead faithful celebrate a third successive domestic treble.
